Lead Process Control Engineer responsible for evaluation, selection and planning of DCS Upgrade Project. Responsible for the conversion of programs and logic for 7500 discrete signals and 1500 analog points from Fisher Provox Regulatory and SR-90 controllers and Modicon 984 controllers to a DeltaV system. Also responsible for system integration between the old and new systems due to the continuous nature of this conversion requiring communication between Fisher Provox, Modicon Quantum, Measurex Open and DeltaV.  Other duties include coordinating with contract engineers, construction technicians, and mill production personnel.  Other projects and accomplishments during my tenure with GP include Alkaline Conversion process control configuration and operator display layouts, programming for batch starch cooker and starch makedown, Refiner controls, tray solids retention control, bentonite batch makedown, ClO2 generator methanol conversion from R2 and SVP, upgrade of pulp washing and screening loops, and installation and configuration of Thick Stock Screening system including sequential startup program for the system. Responsible for the MD control loops on the Measurex Gauging system project including interface with Fisher Provox system.
